Minutes, 1-10-05

IRON CHEF continues to dominate. These are the notes on what we discussed; there is no particular organization
except that these notes were taken in chronological order. 

*	It has been decided that a total of 3 teams of chefs will compete this year. Jon and Diane declined the
	offer to compete against the current Iron Chef, and so the third position was offered to Andrew's team.
	As of Monday, there was no response as to whether they would compete or not. Jon & Diane have said that
	they may participate in other ways, such as contacting the Master Sommelier from Check Please! or
	hosting again. 

*	Thanks to Mitcho, one judge from RSVP has been confirmed (they just need a specific time), and another
	potential judge may be on the way. Annie of Culinary Club is another judge, so we are on our way with
	judges. In addition, Shawn will ask EALC faculty this week, and RSO board members will be contacted in
	case we fall short of judges. 

*	Mari will make fliers for the event. 

*	"Interior design" means floating candles and pebbles for decorative use. These will be purchased this
	coming Saturday, among other things. A meeting will take place at 5pm after shopping.

*	Friday will be inventory day at Shoreland to see exactly what we have, what we need and how much of what
	we need. 

*	Thanks to Cassie, inexpensive chef suit provider has been found.

*	Emcees: Mitcho would like to emcee, possibly with Diane. Shawn will (or has) emailed Jon & Diane to see
	in what ways they would like to participate. 

*	Kaga: I believe it was decided, despite his absence during this meeting, that Toshio would be kaga again. 

*	It will be cheaper if we make a poster ourselves instead of making one and printing it out at Kinko's for
	IFF and this event, advertising CitiBank. 

Finally, we discussed PanAsia options briefly - for which there was a meeting tonight (Wed. night) that I
believe Mickey attended. Possibilities were joining with martial art groups for demonstrations, or, what seems
to be the easiest, showing movies.
