Minutes, 5-25-04


1)	Citibank Check and Budget

	Cassie will call Citibank asking where the check is, and she will find out how much we have left in our
	budget.


2)	RC001 Cleanout

	I checked our cubicle in RC001 today... and I couldn’t find a darned thing that belongs to us.  But if
	you think there is still something of ours in there somewhere, you should check before finals week,
	because at that time they will be tearing things down and throwing things away in order to build a better
	RC001.


3)	Final Study Break

	Place:
		Osaka Garden

	Date and Time:
		Saturday, June 5th, from 11am to 2pm

	Food:
		Will come from Ginza if possible.  I will dine there this weekend and will send an email about
		doing so before then for those who wish to join me.  Our backups are Shiroi Hana and Matsuya.
		Any suggestions for individual dishes (besides no raw fish)?

	Watermelon smashing:
		Will begin at 12:30pm.  We will buy a blindfold (some thick cloth or something), a not-too-hard
		baseball bat, and three watermelons.  Each person gets a certain number of whacks and also gets
		to get yelled at about what direction to swing in.  Finally, let us not forget the salt.  I
		anticipate a sweet taste.

	Kite flying:
		Aza will lend us his awesome kite.  Also, Cassie quotes a price of $3.99 apiece for kites at
		Walgreens.  (Speaking of which, we will take a group trip to Walgreens next week to buy all the
		non-food stuff.)

	Frisbee:
		Let’s get some of these too, whether from Walgreens or elsewhere.

	Posters:
		Mitcho should design some posters that will look good printed on a black ink printer.  They
		should have kanji (大阪, etc.), someone’s email address (mine, Shawn’s, whoever’s),
		and the essentials (date and time, place, food, activities, etc.).

	Estimated expenditure:
		$500-$800.


4)	Next Year

	Things to put on the backburner for next year: J-Club date auction, skywriting to advertise our events,
	Snickers sushi (part of ‘sushi gone wrong’), and J-Club t-shirts (we should design a shirt that is
	different from ordinary shirts, like a baseball jersey type shirt that is not white, and we should put
	writing on the sleeves, and when we order them we should consider cafepress.com and Propaganda).
