Minutes, 1-20-04 1) Videography We still need to secure a means to have ICC videographed. Ideally Fire Escape can do this, like they did last year, but we have yet to hear from them. Shawn will talk to Sayaka about contact people in Fire Escape, and Cassie will email their listhost. The fallback option is for us to rent two cameras from the NSIT audio/video division. Mitcho has emailed them to inquire about the rental process and is awaiting a response. 2) Introductory Slideshow The introductory slideshow is nearly complete. Mitcho just needs to add music and the names of the chefs from Culinary Club. 3) ICC 2003 DVD Vince will give Aza the ICC 2003 DVD so that Aza can create a background slideshow to present as audience members take their seats. 4) Chef Suits Morgan Services unfortunately cannot provide us with chef suits this year. We must acquire these somehow, and to this end we will pursue the following courses of action: 1) Sarah will ask a member of the Vegan Society where they got their suits. 2) I will contact UCJAS to see if they still have the chef suits they used in their skit two years ago, and, if so, whether they would be willing to lend them to us. 3) We will consider asking Aramark if we may use some of their chef suits. 4) We may check out a costume shop in Fullerton near the CTA Red Line stop. 5) Script Shawn will write a script for Jon and Diane’s introduction of ICC to the audience. The script will include mention of Citibank and Morgan Service’s sponsorship. 6) Grand Prize We will have the cutting board engraved with the name of this year’s Iron Chef and will therefore not worry about this engraving until after the competition. 7) Kaga Toshio will ready an interpretation of Shawn’s “Magnum Opus” to deliver to the audience.
