Leftovers from the General Meeting Minutes, 4-16-03 Board-only thangs. "Maikeru" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1) One of us must introduce Professor Hall at the PanAsia screenings. Last year, Aiko fulfilled this duty. 2) Where are the DVDs? They were not in Wieboldt 301. A collective effort should produce positive results. 3) We are planning a dinner meeting at Kikuya to court them as a potential food supplier for an upcoming fundraiser. We must therefore call and make reservations for a time when the manager is there, preliminarily sometime during 5th or 6th week. 4) We must book the Marketplace. 5) The Meishi business card exchange conflicts with the second prospective student RSO fair on Thursday, April 24. We will nevertheless proceed to attend the exchange. We can possibly have business cards made for us at Kinko's, or, if worst comes to worst, we can make them ourselves. A total of 50 to 200 cards should be satisfactory. Ideas for the card features include the club logo and Japanese and English on opposite sides. Jonah and Cassie will finalize a design by Saturday, April 19 at the latest. Finally, about my not including this topic in the mailing of the Minutes: should I have? Your thoughts, please. 6) We must thank Amy Olson from Citibank for working hard so that we could get our check. Sonny has volunteered to write a letter to express our gratitude. 7) Annual Allocation submissions are due by 12pm on Friday, May 9. Vince and Cassie will resolve this issue. 8) After the fundraiser, we should consider purchasing a Japanese flag or flags in addition to a club banner. 9) We must inform our advisor Jay Monteverde by Thursday, April 17 that we will be attending the minority barbeque.
